Why do carbon inventory?
● In July 2021, the European Union announced the "Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism" (CBAM) to avoid the "Carbon Leakage" (Carbon Leakage) caused by the relocation of high-carbon-emitting industries or the importation of a large number of products that have not paid the cost of carbon pollution.
● From 2023 to 2025, it is hoped that manufacturers will require carbon emission data of goods and proof of carbon price payment in exporting countries.
● The official implementation period starts from 2026 (currently, only direct emission pricing is set).
● In June 2022, the U.S. Senate proposed a draft of the U.S. carbon tariff-"Clean Competition Act" (CCA), and the second reading has been completed recently.If the third reading is passed, the United States will begin imposing a carbon tax in 2024.

What is its standard?
Since the adoption of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 1992, the government and non-governmental organizations have continued to promote measures related to greenhouse gas reduction and energy management, and hope to achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions back to 1990.
At the same time, in order to allow all parties to have a consistent basis for the inventory and verification methods of greenhouse gas emissions,The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) officially announced the ISO50001, ISO14064 series, and ISO14067 standards in 2006, as the basis for greenhouse gas inventory and verification methods.
